Porch Lunch with Strawberry Pretzel Salad and Fresh Lime Soda

As restrictions are being lifted in Alabama, I wanted to gather a few friends and have a socially-distanced porch lunch. We were able to get together, just four of us, and still keep our distance while catching up on life and enjoying each other's company. It was a blessing! We all brought our own lunches to my back porch, but I wanted to have a dessert ready to enjoy. My go-to dessert during the late spring and summer months is a Strawberry Pretzel Salad . It's a Southern tradition and one of the most delicious desserts to me because it's a little salty and a little sweet, a little crunchy and very smooth, too. Along with the dessert, I took a cue from my time in India and served a Fresh Lime Soda in my beautiful Sur la Table Wicker Wrapped Pitcher . It was a beautiful day and oh so wonderful to see my friends! Fresh Lime Soda Recipe: - 1/2 cup fresh lime juice - 2/3 cup simple syrup - 1.5 liters lemon-lime seltzer water (I used Publix brand) ***Combine and stir lime juice and simple syrup in your pitcher, pour in seltzer water and gently stir. Garnish with lime slices. #grandmillennial #chinoiserie Sources - Tableclo th: heirloom - Tray: Pier1 (discontinued); similar here and here - Napkins: Home Goods; similar here - Salad Plates: Spode St. Catherine's Court (discontinued); similar here and here - Flatware: Southern Living at Home Gallery Collection (discontinued) - Serving Spoon: Southern Living at Home on ebay - Pitcher: Sur la Table - Glasses: Pier1 - Cake Stand: Walmart
