It's 2020, y'all. And all decorating "rules" are pointless. I'm decorating for Christmas. And, in all honesty, I usually start decorating before Thanksgiving, but this year I started even earlier than I normally do!

Here is my master bedroom decked out for the holidays.

The tree is a hand-me-down from my late mama. It is a flocked, pre-lit tree in a cute planter from Home Depot. The ornaments on this tree are all beautiful Kashmiri handicraft ornaments that I collected while living in India. I complemented the Kashmiri ornaments with some simple gold ornaments. The tree topper is from Kirkland's and adds touch of glam that plays well with my glam curtain rods and finials!

I always switch out my bedding for the fall and winter with this lovely velvet printed comforter from Target (from 2019, but here it is on ebay - one, two). I add navy velvet pillows to match my velvet curtains as well as a faux fur accent pillow. The garland on my headboard is from Balsam Hill, and the quality is exceptional.

I love having my bedroom decorated for Christmas! I hope you are doing what you want to do as it relates to holiday decor. Whether you are starting now or waiting until after Thanksgiving, YOU DO YOU!
