Friendsgiving 2019

Updated: May 20, 2020

I love Thanksgiving! Since I go home to Georgia for family Thanksgiving each year, this year I decided to host a Friendsgiving for the Bible study group that meets at my house every Thursday evening. I catered the meal from a local restaurant - Zack's Family Restaurant, and my bestie Anna and I set the table. Because the weather was expected to be nice, we decided to set everything up outside, and my friends Bob and Ellen helped with hanging the lights and setting up all the tables and chairs.

Anna is extremely talented at arranging greenery and flowers, and she created these beautiful garlands for our tables from yard cuttings!

We used these plastic disposable plates, utensils and cups from Amazon along with gold plastic chargers, fall plaid napkins from Kirkland's and various-sized candles to set the table. We had the tablecloths on hand.

My paternal grandmother's vintage turkeys centered the serving table.

We had a wonderful time, and I couldn't have done it without Anna!
